Aramid Halyard

Double braid made with a Kevlar® core and a H.T. polyester or spun polyester covering

Jobs

The core, made of high-strength fibers, gives the rope great strength and ultra-low stretch. The outer sheath protects this core from wear and tear and UV rays and improves its resistance to bending (which varies depending on the diameter of the sheaves). It is therefore recommended for use as a halyard, with the advantage of being able to choose a smaller diameter, thus saving weight and space. Its extremely high breaking load makes it an excellent substitute for steel cables. The diameter of the sheaves to use is obtained by multiplying the diameter of the cable x 6.
